Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 Streamlines Camo Progression with New Tracking Feature

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 introduces Camo Challenge Tracking, a significant quality-of-life improvement simplifying camo progression. This feature, detailed in the latest patch notes, allows players to easily monitor their progress toward unlocking coveted camos like Dark Matter and Nebula.

The system lets players manually select up to 10 camo and 10 calling card challenges to track simultaneously. Progress is readily accessible in-game, eliminating the need to constantly check the main menu. The tracker also proactively alerts players to near-completion challenges, even those not actively tracked.

Managing Your Camo Challenges

To track a challenge, navigate to the desired camo or calling card challenge and press Y (Xbox) or Triangle (PlayStation) to add it to your tracker. This allows for real-time progress monitoring during matches.

Even without manually tracking a challenge, the game automatically highlights those nearing completion. A comprehensive list of near-complete camos and calling cards is also viewable in the Daily Challenges section of the Black Ops 6 lobby.

Simplified Camo Unlocking

Season 2 also streamlines the camo unlocking process. Previously, unlocking special camos required completing nine preceding military camos. This requirement has been reduced to five, making the path to mastery camos less arduous. However, two special camos are still needed to unlock the coveted mastery camos.

This update directly addresses player feedback regarding the sheer number of camos and the difficulty of tracking progress. Treyarch's efforts to improve camo acquisition and usability enhance the overall Black Ops 6 experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
