The major v0.13.0 update for *Fields of Mistria* has introduced a plethora of new content, features, and quality of life improvements, much to the delight of the game's community. One of the most anticipated additions is the ability to adjust the speed of daytime, allowing players to pack more activities into their in-game days. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to tweak the day length in *Fields of Mistria* to maximize your gameplay experience.

With the v0.13.0 update released on March 10 for *Fields of Mistria*, you now have the power to customize the length of daytime hours. This feature is available to all players, regardless of their progress in the game.

To begin, launch your current save from the Main Menu. Once you're back on your farm, access the Pause Menu and navigate to the **Settings tab** (represented by a cog wheel icon) at the bottom. From the left-side drop-down menu, select **‘Accessibility’**. At the top, you'll find the **‘Day Time Speed’** option, which defaults to ‘Standard’.

Upon selecting it, the game will caution you that extending daytime may affect NPC schedules, which are designed for the Standard setting. If this isn't a concern for you, you can adjust the daytime speed to either **‘Longer’** or **‘Longest’**. From player observations, ‘Longer’ significantly extends daytime, while ‘Longest’ offers even more time, making it the preferred choice for those wanting to maximize their daily productivity.

To activate your new settings, simply have your character sleep in their bed until the next day begins. Your chosen daytime duration will then take effect. If you wish to change it again, just follow the same process.

In cozy farming simulations like *Fields of Mistria* and its predecessor *Stardew Valley*, time management is crucial. Players typically have a limited window each day to tend to their farms and engage in town activities. Tasks like mining can consume an entire day, necessitating careful planning to ensure you return home before collapsing. While the Teleportation Chalice alleviates some of these time constraints, the v0.13.0 update's introduction of adjustable daytime lengths has been a game-changer, warmly welcomed by the community.
