Writer Greg Rucka and artist Nicola Scott, who previously collaborated on the critically acclaimed Wonder Woman: Year One origin story, are reuniting for an entirely different DC project - Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League.

This six-issue limited series marks a creative reunion for the duo within DC's All In publishing initiative. While the villain pairing might appear unusual at first glance, it connects meaningfully to both creators' histories: Cheetah featured prominently in Rucka's Wonder Woman runs, while Cheshire was central to Scott's Secret Six collaboration with Gail Simone.
The series follows master thieves Cheetah and Cheshire as they attempt the ultimate heist - infiltrating the Justice League's most secure facility. DC's official synopsis promises:
These elite criminals must assemble an extraordinary team capable of outsmarting not just cutting-edge security systems, but Earth's mightiest heroes themselves. Their target? One of the most dangerous devices in the DC universe, protected by orbital defenses, advanced AI security protocols, and the planet's most powerful superheroes.
"This is fundamentally a story about professional criminals," Rucka explained. "None of them would ever gain legitimate access to the Watchtower. We're stacking the odds tremendously against them - but for Cheetah, failure isn't an option. She'll stop at nothing to claim her prize."
The creative team includes colorist Annette Kwok and letterer Troy Peteri supporting Rucka's writing and Scott's artwork.
Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League #1 launches on August 6, 2025.
In related comics news, Marvel's Thunderbolts comic series will undergo rebranding as The New Avengers to align with MCU developments.
