Get ready, Civilization fans! The eagerly awaited *Civilization VII*, the latest in Sid Meier's iconic turn-based 4X strategy series, is set to hit the shelves on February 11. Developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K, this game has reached the gold standard, meaning its core development is complete and a release delay is highly unlikely, barring any unforeseen issues.
Mark your calendars! Deluxe and Founders Edition owners will enjoy early access starting February 6, five days before the official release. A zero-day patch will also be available on launch day, ensuring a smooth start for all players.
*Civilization VII* will be accessible on a wide array of platforms, including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and even the Steam Deck, ensuring that players across all modern systems can join in on the strategic fun.
Firaxis is committed to keeping the game fresh and engaging with continuous updates. The first DLC, "Crossroads of the World," will roll out in two exciting parts in March. In the initial stage, players will step into the shoes of Great Britain and Carthage, encountering the pioneering Ada Lovelace as a new leader. Three weeks later, the second phase will introduce Simon Bolivar as a leader, along with the civilizations of Bulgaria and Nepal.
Looking further ahead, the "Right to Rule" DLC, slated for release between April and September 2025, will bring two additional leaders, four new civilizations, and awe-inspiring natural wonders to the game.
To keep the gameplay dynamic, Firaxis plans to introduce new challenges and events, starting in March with the addition of captivating natural wonders like the Bermuda Triangle and Everest.
