Cow in Mario Kart World Enjoys Burgers, Steak

In the midst of all the buzz about tariffs and Nintendo Switch 2 pricing, IGN brought some light-hearted news from a Nintendo event in New York where they played Mario Kart World. The highlight? The new Moo Moo Meadows Cow character can indeed eat burgers and steak, among other foods.

For those out of the loop, Mario Kart World recently introduced the Moo Moo Meadows Cow as a playable racer, sparking a wave of excitement and creativity across the internet with memes and fanart celebrating this formerly background character.

The announcement led to an interesting discussion among fans, especially after the Nintendo Direct 2 trailer showed Mario eating a burger. This raised the question: would Cow, potentially a source of beef, eat beef herself? The curiosity was palpable.

At the Nintendo preview event, it was revealed that food items featured in the trailer are available at Yoshi's diner locations throughout the game's courses. Racers can drive through these diners to grab take-out, similar to picking up items from boxes. The menu includes a variety of foods like burgers, steak kebabs, pizza, and donuts.

IGN confirmed that Cow can indeed consume all these items, including the much-discussed burger. While other racers transform when eating these foods, Cow seems unaffected, leaving fans to wonder if she's simply enjoying the taste or if there's a hidden power-up yet to be revealed. Could these be veggie burgers or plant-based kebabs?

IGN reached out to Nintendo for clarification but has yet to receive a response, possibly due to the ongoing event in New York rather than the oddity of the question itself.
