Dead Island 2 Patch 6 Unleashes New Zombie-Slaying Challenges
Meet the Revenant Zombies in Dead Island 2

The latest Dead Island 2 update, Patch 6, introduces New Game Plus (NG+), allowing players to replay the campaign at a tougher difficulty while keeping their inventory. Retain your leveled-up character, gain three extra skill slots, a higher level cap, new weapons, skins, and face new enemies.
Enter the Revenants, a fiercer breed of Apex zombies with unique behaviors and enhanced abilities designed to test your skills. “Paired with New Game Plus, these changes crank the challenge to maximum,” the developers shared in their blog, promising a grueling experience for those seeking a tougher fight.
To tackle NG+’s heightened difficulty, all weapons in this mode are more powerful than in the base game, with additional fixed-rarity weapons to collect, the developers confirmed. The update also introduces Neighbourhood Watch, a hybrid horde and tower defense mode where players defend a home base. Each session spans five days, with the first four focused on fortifying your base, eliminating zombie hordes, and completing objectives to earn essential gear.
