Netflix's highly anticipated Devil May Cry anime finally has a release date: April 3rd! The series, a collaboration between Castlevania showrunner Adi Shankar and the acclaimed Studio Mir (Legend of Korra, X-Men '97), dropped the news via a suitably edgy teaser on X, soundtracked by Limp Bizkit.

First announced in 2018, the Devil May Cry anime is slated for an eight-episode first season. Studio Mir's involvement promises a visually stunning adaptation.
Plot details remain shrouded in mystery, but the teaser suggests a focus on Dante, likely drawing inspiration from the first three Devil May Cry games rather than Devil May Cry 5. Interestingly, Dante will be voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch, known for voicing Nero in the video game series.
The last mainline entry in the Devil May Cry franchise was Devil May Cry 5, released in 2019. This critically acclaimed title marked a triumphant return for the series, following the divisive 2013 reboot, DmC: Devil May Cry. A standout action game, Devil May Cry 5 is highly recommended, especially for fans of titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2. Read our full review here.
