Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and with its connecting bridge destroyed, presents a challenge to reach in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide details multiple methods to overcome this obstacle and continue your adventure.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of the bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice, are visible using Spirit Vision. Crossing requires overcoming gaps. Several options exist:
-
Gloves of Teleportation: These allow teleporting party members individually across the gaps.
-
Translocation Skills: Skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat enable teleporting, but may be limited by party composition.
-
Teleporter Pyramids: Using two pyramids, one companion can cross using translocation, then the others teleport to them.
-
Fast Travel: A companion with translocation reaches the island waypoint; the rest fast travel.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
An undead ferryman northwest of Cloisterwood offers passage. However, this is a trap: only undead are immune to the Deathfog.
-
With Fane: Fane, being undead, can safely cross. He then establishes a waypoint for the rest of the party to fast travel to.
-
Without Fane: This requires at least two Teleporter Pyramids:
- A companion takes the ferry, dying on arrival.
- The remaining party uses a pyramid to teleport to the deceased companion.
- Resurrect the companion.
Without Fane, the bridge method is generally faster.
Caution: Avoid attacking the ferryman unless you have a quick save. He retaliates with Deathfog, instantly killing non-undead. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
