"Dreamland Nightmare: Play Together's New Update"

Author : Eric May 15,2025

If you've been diving into Haegin's latest Dreamland update in *Play Together*, you might have been intrigued by the unique mechanic of needing to sleep to access this fantastical zone. But have you ever wondered what would happen if those whimsical dreams took a sinister turn? The new Nightmare update lets you experience just that.

Dreamland has transformed into a Nightmare due to the malevolent influence of the Queen of the Night. Nightmare monsters aren't just haunting the dream world; they've begun to infiltrate the 'real world' of Kaia Island as well. To restore peace before the event concludes on May 21st, you'll need to confront these invaders and ultimately dethrone the Queen herself.

You'll face five distinct types of Nightmare Monsters roaming the island, such as the Sneering Pillow and the Abandoned Doll. To vanquish them, you'll need to wield the newly introduced Dream Gun. Successfully defeating all these monsters will earn you a unique mount, the Bed Consumed by Nightmares, as a special reward!

But beware, the nightmares have also corrupted the normal fauna of Kaia Island. You'll encounter new varieties of fish and insects, which you can catch and exchange for Nightmare Essence, the event's special currency.

In the Dreamland Workshop, you can now craft nightmare-themed furniture, including the eerie Nightmare Music Box and the haunting Nightmare Garden Lamp. Plus, there's a new companion to add to your collection—the Nightmare Sheep.

Stay ahead of the curve with our continuous coverage of new updates. And don't forget to check out our feature, "Ahead of the Game," where we explore upcoming releases you can play in early access across various platforms.
