"Dune Awakening Trailer Reveals Arrakis

Funcom has unveiled an exciting new trailer for Dune: Awakening, their highly anticipated multiplayer survival game set within the iconic universe of Frank Herbert's "Dune." The latest trailer showcases the vast and treacherous deserts of Arrakis, providing players with a thrilling preview of the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in this immersive world.

In Dune: Awakening, survival hinges on exploration. Players are tasked with traversing the perilous dunes to collect vital materials necessary for crafting shelters and vehicles, such as combat-ready ornithopters. To streamline resource gathering, players can employ a scanner, and by deploying probes on higher ground, they can uncover crucial points of interest scattered across the map.

These points of interest vary from crashed spacecraft to deserted outposts. Accessing these locations often requires creative problem-solving, with tools like grappling hooks, power belts, and specialized gear playing a pivotal role. All equipment can be enhanced at the player's base using modular components, ensuring they are well-equipped to face the myriad dangers of Arrakis.

The early access release of Dune: Awakening is scheduled for May 20, and it will be available exclusively on PC. Console enthusiasts can look forward to versions on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, which will be released at a later date. In the interim, players can begin to create their characters and assess system performance using the benchmark tool available on Steam.

Mark your calendars: Dune: Awakening will enter early access on Steam on May 20. The game's page on Steam already offers a character editor and performance-testing tools. A full release will eventually extend the experience to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, promising a comprehensive and thrilling journey through the sands of Arrakis.
