Dynasty Warriors Origins: Fast Travel Guide

Author : Finn Apr 15,2025

In *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, the game's world map, while not open-world, grows significantly as you progress through the main storyline. Initially, you'll find the explorable area quite manageable, but as more provinces unlock, navigating this larger world can become a time-consuming challenge. The constant introduction of new skirmishes and requests often necessitates backtracking across vast expanses of the map, which can be frustrating.

Fortunately, mastering the art of fast travel in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins* can drastically cut down on travel time, especially if you're keen on tackling all the side content the game has to offer. Let's dive into how you can use this feature to your advantage.

How to Fast Travel in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

To fast travel in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, you'll need to use the Map screen to jump between different Waymarks. However, before you can fast travel to a Waymark, you must first unlock it. To do this, simply approach a Waymark on the world map and hold down the X button if you're on PlayStation, or the A button if you're using an Xbox controller. Once unlocked, the Waymark will appear on your map screen, ready for you to fast travel to it at any time.

When you're not in the midst of battle, accessing the map is straightforward. You can either interact with an unlocked Waymark directly on the world map or pause the game and use the shoulder buttons to navigate to the Map menu. PlayStation users have an additional shortcut: pressing the Dual Sense touchpad while on the world map screen will instantly bring up the map, saving you precious seconds.

Once you're on the map screen, hovering over an unlocked Waymark will reveal any nearby key locations or battles. If you're on the hunt for a specific battle or location, press the Square button on PlayStation or the X button on Xbox to toggle additional information. From there, you can cycle through a list of available battles and locations using the Triangle button on PlayStation or the Y button on Xbox. Selecting an item from this list will move your cursor to the nearest Waymark, making it easy to fast travel to your desired destination.
