EA Announces Playtesting for F2P Skate Sim

Skate., EA'S F2P Skate Sim, Announces Playtesting

EA's highly anticipated free-to-play skateboarding simulation game, skate. (stylized as "skate."), is now open for console playtesting. Learn how to participate!

Console Playtesting is Underway – Register for Beta Access and Exclusive Rewards!

Following its announcement in June 2020 and subsequent teasers, skate. is finally available for playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. While a PC beta launch date remains unannounced, fans can register as Insiders to receive updates.

According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been ongoing since at least December, possibly even September, as evidenced by a recent highlight reel. However, developer Full Circle actively encourages continued registration, as development is ongoing.

Skate., EA'S F2P Skate Sim, Announces Playtesting

To participate in the beta, visit EA's official website, locate the skate. page, and register for Skate Insider Playtesting. Early access testers (Insiders) will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a unique skateboard and stickers, upon the Early Access launch.

skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks the franchise's return after nearly a decade since Skate 3, and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, the game is designed as a free-to-play, live-service title promising an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed in a previous Full Circle YouTube interview.
