Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have officially announced the global release schedule for Elden Ring: Nightreign.
Elden Ring: Nightreign launches on May 30 at midnight EDT for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. However, due to time zone variations, players in some regions will gain access slightly earlier. For example, those on the U.S. West Coast in the Pacific Time Zone can start playing at 9:00 PM on May 29.
Release times also vary by platform. According to Bandai Namco, PC players in most regions will be able to begin playing a few hours ahead of console users. On the U.S. East Coast, PC players can jump in at 6:00 PM on May 29, while console players must wait until midnight.

Bandai Namco confirmed that pre-loading will be available 48 hours before launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. In an IGN interview, Elden Ring: Nightreign director Junya Ishizaki discussed the decision to focus on solo and three-player co-op as the core gameplay options. When asked why there is no dedicated two-player mode without a matchmade third player, Ishizaki admitted it was an oversight.
"The straightforward answer is that we overlooked including a two-player option during development, and we sincerely apologize for that," Ishizaki explained. "From the beginning, our goal was to create a cooperative multiplayer experience designed for three players, with balance and core mechanics built around that number."
"At the same time, I recognize that players sometimes prefer to play alone, so we put significant effort into developing a rewarding solo experience within the framework of our new systems," Ishizaki continued. "In doing so, we neglected to properly support two-player teams. This is something we are actively evaluating and may address in a future update."
So if you plan to play with just one partner, be prepared to welcome a randomly matched third player into your session. You might even end up matched with someone who elevates your gameplay.
