Beware of Scammers and Scalpers
Reports indicate a scam circulating on Steam, where players receive fake Elden Ring: Nightreign Network Test invites. These malicious links redirect users to phishing sites, potentially compromising accounts and spreading the scam via mass messages to friend lists. FromSoftware emphasizes that official registration and confirmation occurred only through their website and social media; any other links are unauthorized and potentially harmful.
Following FromSoftware's confirmation email announcement, numerous listings appeared on online marketplaces selling purported "confirmed test codes" for exorbitant prices—$150-$200, with some even auctioned. Remember, these codes aren't distributed until February 11th.
Elden Ring: Nightreign, initially revealed during the Game Awards 2024, is slated for release in 2025 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A precise release date is yet to be announced.
