"Epic Games Offers Happy Game for Free This Week"

Author : Mila May 22,2025

The Epic Games Store for mobile has announced its latest free release of the week, and this time it's the intriguing Happy Game from developer Amanita Design. Despite its cheerful name, Happy Game plunges players into a far-from-happy scenario, offering a free download that's sure to captivate those who dare to delve into its depths.

In Happy Game, you step into the shoes of a young boy trapped in a cycle of night terrors. As you fall asleep, you're thrust into a surreal and gory world, a stark contrast to Amanita's typically whimsical puzzle games like Chuchel. This time, they've crafted an experience that's nothing short of nightmare fuel.

Your journey involves navigating through three distinct nightmares, each filled with bizarre and disturbing puzzles. The seemingly sweet environments mask unsettling visuals and sounds, creating a deeply immersive and haunting atmosphere. Adding to the eerie experience is the unsettling soundtrack by the Czech band DVA, which is bound to linger long after you've put down your device.

Happy happy joy joyI was genuinely taken aback to discover that Amanita Design, known to me primarily through the family-friendly Chuchel, had created Happy Game. It's a surprising departure from their usual fare, showcasing their versatility as game developers.

If you're unsure about diving into Happy Game, I recommend checking out our review from 2023, where Will awarded it a solid four stars, commending its atmospheric horror and engaging gameplay.

Even if Happy Game doesn't strike your fancy, there's a wealth of new mobile games to explore. Our weekly roundup, updated every Thursday, features the top five new mobile games across various genres, from puzzlers to action-packed adventures. Don't miss out on discovering your next favorite game!
