Marvel Contest of Champions is set to bring a wave of excitement and fresh content in April, headlined by the introduction of the new champion, Spider-Woman. Alongside her, another intriguing champion, Lumatrix, will join the fray, offering players a diverse set of skills and backgrounds to explore.

Here’s the Backstory of Spider-Woman in the World of Marvel Contest of Champions

Spider-Woman, known as Jessica Drew, was exposed to uranium as a child, leading to severe illness. Her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a concoction of spider DNA. After a long recovery, Jessica emerged with unique spider powers, transforming into Spider-Woman. Players can recruit this new champion in MCOC starting April 17th.

However, before Spider-Woman's arrival, players will encounter Lumatrix on April 9th. Engineered by the Founders, Lumatrix is a formidable assassin equipped with dazzling light-based powers, designed for stealth and lethal efficiency.

What Else Is New?

On the narrative front, Act 9 Chapter 2, titled "Inquisition," unfolds with Carina suffering severe injuries from an encounter with Ouroborus forces. Meanwhile, Doctor Doom collaborates with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading corruption of Chronoserpent. A new villain, Lotan, also emerges to challenge the heroes.

A new Event Quest, "Spy Games," launches on April 9th and continues until May 7th. Black Widow delves into the enigma of the Eidols, enlisting Spider-Woman's help to unravel the mystery.

Dark Phoenix returns in the Side Quest "Dark Bounties," placing bounties on various Champions. Players must track these Champions down to claim their rewards.

The "Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector" also makes a comeback, challenging players to assemble their strongest Saga champions to earn Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.

Beyond these updates, don't miss out on the "Heart of Fire Sale" and other exciting features in MCOC. Download the game from the Google Play Store to dive into all the action.
