Final Fantasy 14 Offers Returning Players Tons of Free Playtime

Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, and is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

Eligible players can enjoy four consecutive days of free gameplay, with the timer starting upon login via the game launcher. Eligibility is determined by account inactivity (at least 30 days prior to the campaign start) and requires a previously purchased and registered copy of the game. Accounts suspended for violating terms of service are ineligible. Players can verify their eligibility on the Mog Station.

The campaign coincides with the recent release of Patch 7.15, featuring new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, including the return of the Hildibrand quests and a new Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida’s recent New Year’s message confirmed upcoming Patches 7.2 and 7.3 for 2025, along with smaller updates, and hinted at the future direction of the Dawntrail storyline.

This Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to catch up on the Dawntrail content before the release of Patch 7.2. The campaign also overlaps with the Heavensturn event (until January 16th), offering a minion reward to participants, and the upcoming release of Patch 7.16 on January 21st, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series. Square Enix encourages players to check their Mog Station accounts for eligibility details.
