Fortnite Brings Back Rare Superhero Skin After More Than a Year

Summary

  • Fortnite has reintroduced the Wonder Woman skin to the in-game shop after an absence of over a year.
  • Alongside the Wonder Woman skin, other related cosmetics like the Athena's Battleaxe pickaxe and Golden Eagle Wings glider have also returned.
  • In December, Fortnite brought back several DC skins and introduced new Japan-themed variant skins for Batman and Harley Quinn.

Fortnite enthusiasts can once again don the iconic Wonder Woman skin in the battle royale game, as it has made a triumphant return to the in-game shop after more than a year. Epic Games continues to enrich Fortnite with exciting crossovers, spanning various realms of pop culture, music, and even fashion, with collaborations featuring brands like Nike and Air Jordan. The latest return of a beloved superhero cosmetic has thrilled fans, available for a limited time.

Superhero skins have become a staple in Fortnite's cosmetic offerings, featuring a wide array of characters from both DC and Marvel universes. The game has celebrated new Marvel movie releases with grand crossovers, introducing unique gameplay mechanics and weaponry. DC characters like Batman and Catwoman have been represented through multiple variants, showcasing different iterations such as "The Batman Who Laughs" and "Rebirth Harley Quinn." Now, after a significant hiatus, one of DC's most iconic characters, Wonder Woman, is back in Fortnite.

The Wonder Woman skin has officially returned to Fortnite's shop following a 444-day absence, last seen in October 2023. This comeback was confirmed by the prominent community member HYPEX. Alongside the skin, the Athena's Battleaxe pickaxe and the Golden Eagle Wings glider have also made a return, available both individually and as part of a bundle. Players can purchase the Wonder Woman skin for 1,600 V-Bucks, with the complete bundle discounted to 2,400 V-Bucks.

Fortnite Brings Back Wonder Woman Skin After Over a Year

This reintroduction of the Wonder Woman skin follows a trend of popular DC skins returning to Fortnite. In December, characters like Starfire and Harley Quinn were once again available in the game. Additionally, the launch of Fortnite's Japanese-themed Chapter 6 Season 1 introduced new skins such as Ninja Batman and Karuta Harley Quinn.

As Fortnite progresses into its latest competitive season with a Japanese theme, more crossovers are on the horizon. The game has already seen the return of Dragon Ball skins and is set to introduce a Godzilla skin later this month, with rumors of a Demon Slayer crossover in the future. The return of the Wonder Woman skin offers fans another opportunity to embrace one of the most iconic female superheroes in their Fortnite adventures.
