New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The gaming world is back in full swing after the holiday break! While the Nintendo Switch 2 remains highly anticipated, exciting news has arrived regarding another fan favorite. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled fresh gameplay footage for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, showcasing its pirate-themed adventures in Hawaii.

The presentation highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and diverse explorable locations. Goro Majima, a series staple, will boast two distinct combat styles: a nimble, speed-focused approach and a more tactical style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, crucial for battles, exploration, and treasure hunting. The game promises hidden islands brimming with secrets and original side quests to uncover.

A significant announcement concluded the presentation: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth's "New Game+" mode will be a free post-launch addition via a patch. This decision marks a positive change from the previous Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth release, where this feature was exclusive to the pricier edition, a move that drew considerable criticism towards SEGA. With the official release date just a month and a half away, this is welcome news for fans.
