GTA 5 Enhanced Edition Joins Xbox Game Pass for PC in 2 Weeks

Author : Peyton Apr 09,2025

Microsoft is set to bring Rockstar Games' iconic title, Grand Theft Auto 5, to Xbox Game Pass and the enhanced version of GTA 5 to Game Pass for PC on April 15, 2025. This exciting addition to the Wave 1 lineup for April was detailed in a recent Xbox Wire post, marking it as the highlight of the month's new releases. The PC version, in particular, will feature the newly released Enhanced update from early March, promising a refreshed gaming experience.

The inclusion of the Oscar Guzman Flies Again update will allow players to engage in new activities such as arms trafficking missions and flying new aircraft from the McKenzie Field Hanger in Grapeseed, regardless of the platform they choose. This latest update adds to the excitement surrounding GTA 5's return to Game Pass, following its previous departure from the service.

However, the release of GTA 5 Enhanced on PC on March 4 has not been without its challenges. Despite bringing new vehicles, performance enhancements at Hao’s Special Works, animal encounters, and visual improvements, it has faced criticism. The update led to GTA 5 becoming Rockstar’s worst-reviewed title on Steam due to ongoing issues with account migration, which has prevented players from transferring their GTA Online profiles to the new version. This has been particularly frustrating for veteran players looking to continue their journey in Los Santos with the Enhanced upgrade.

Newcomers to GTA 5 and GTA Online should have a smoother experience, free from the concerns of account migration. Meanwhile, fans eagerly await any updates on Grand Theft Auto 6, with the latest news suggesting a potential fall release, though an official date remains elusive.

As Rockstar continues to refine GTA 5 ahead of its Game Pass return, you can explore the rest of the Wave 1 April 2025 titles coming to Xbox Game Pass. Additionally, Rockstar is showing support for the modding community by granting them access to official tools, which is sure to enhance the creative possibilities within the game.
