In *Atomfall*, Atomic Batteries serve as a central and essential resource. While they are critical for advancing the main storyline, collecting extra batteries can also give you a powerful advantage when bartering with traders. If you're looking to stock up or simply progress through the game, here's your complete guide on how to find and obtain Atomic Batteries in *Atomfall*.

How To Find Atomic Batteries With Leads in Atomfall

Depositing Atomic Batteries at The Interchange is a key step in progressing the main story of *Atomfall*. Fortunately, a lead titled “Atomic Batteries” provides valuable clues about where to locate them. Below are several locations revealed through this lead:

  • “A Fruitful Trade” – This clue indicates that the Reverend obtained his Atomic Battery from a trader named Molly. Her camp is located west of Wyndham Village, and she still has one available for trade. Molotov Cocktails are particularly appealing to her, so consider offering those in exchange.
  • “Batteries and All” – Found in the sewers, this lead points to the Druids’ Castle in Casterfell Woods (southwest section). Navigate through the camp until you reach a doorway between two blue torches and enter the Castle Ruins. Inside, you’ll find an Atomic Battery next to a High Priestess overlooking a valley.
  • “Battery Request at the Skethermoor Depot” – This lead directs you to the Skethermoor Vehicle Depot in southeastern Skethermoor (43.4 E, 74.6 N). Look for a blue hatch near two greenhouses on the hill. Descend into the main room, eliminate any Outlaws, and proceed to the far-left room. Climb into the red-lit area and crawl through a vent to retrieve a key. Use it to unlock the room containing the Atomic Battery. Be sure to take Radiation Resistance before entering to survive the hazardous environment.
  • “Molly Sold a Battery to the Vicar” – Reveals that Molly sold another battery to a man at St. Katherine’s Church in Wyndham Village. You may ignore this if you’ve already acquired the Reverend’s battery.
  • “Reverend Got His Hands on a Battery” – A note from Alf hints at the Reverend possessing an Atomic Battery inside St. Katherine’s Church in Wyndham Village. Upon arrival, he will be covering up a murder. By choosing the bargaining option and promising silence, you can blackmail him into handing over the key to his chest upstairs, which contains the battery.
  • “Spare Batteries at the Dam” – This lead points to the Dam in northwestern Casterfell Wood (20.9 E, 90.9 N). The Atomic Battery lies on the ground in the electrical area, on the right side when facing the Dam. Enter the Control Room, go to the upper left, and pull the Substation Override lever until the right light turns red. This cuts power to the area, allowing you to safely collect the battery.

Can You Barter for Batteries in Atomfall?

Bartering for Atomic Batteries in Atomfall

If you’re struggling to locate Atomic Batteries naturally, trading is a viable alternative. Molly, in particular, offers one for barter, and other traders may carry them depending on their rotating inventory. When trading, pay attention to item preference indicators—green means highly desired, yellow is neutral, and red means less interest. Experimenting with different items before finalizing a trade can improve your chances of securing a better deal.

How To Extract Atomic Batteries from Robots in Atomfall

Extracting Atomic Batteries from Robots in Atomfall

The Protocol employs heavily armored, deadly robots across the Zone. These machines often guard high-value areas but can also be found patrolling. Each robot is powered by an Atomic Battery, which you can extract after disabling it. The most effective method involves targeting flamethrower-wielding robots from a distance using a rifle. Shoot the red barrels on their backs to overheat them, stunning the robot. Once downed, approach and retrieve the Atomic Battery directly from its chassis.

*Atomfall* is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass. Get out there, track down those Atomic Batteries, and dominate both combat and commerce in the Zone!
