"Hearthstone's Emerald Dream Expansion Unveiled"

Author : Owen Apr 07,2025

If you've been keeping up with the Pocket Gamer team's weekly Wrapps, you're probably aware of my recent dive into Hearthstone. However, I'm about to fall behind with the game's latest update. The "Into the Emerald Dream" expansion, set to launch on March 25th, will introduce 145 new cards, shaking up strategies and combat tactics.

Alongside these new cards, players will encounter fresh Keywords to master: Imbue, which affects Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, and Shaman, and Dark Gifts, impacting Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior. I'm still wrapping my head around how these will influence gameplay, but it's clear they'll shift the meta, especially with the expanded Choose One keyword. Every class will receive a Choose One card, offering two modes to select from during battle.

Adding to the mix is a new Legendary minion, Ysera, Emerald Aspect, which promises to stir the pot further. It looks like I'll have my hands full when facing off against these new decks.

ytYou can already pre-purchase the new bundles until March 25th. If you're looking for other options, check out our list of the best card games on Android to keep the fun going.

If you're eager to jump into the action, you can download Hearthstone on the App Store and Google Play. It's free-to-play with in-app purchases.
