Hideaki Nishino Elevated to Sole CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Hiroki Totoki Promoted to Sony CEO

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced significant leadership changes, effective April 1, 2025. Hideaki Nishino has been appointed sole CEO of SIE, succeeding the previous leadership structure. This follows the earlier announcement of a dual leadership model with Hermen Hulst.

Simultaneously, Sony Corporation announced the promotion of Hiroki Totoki to President and CEO, replacing Kenichiro Yoshida. Lin Tao has been promoted to CFO.

Nishino, a Sony veteran since 2000, previously served as SVP, Platform Experience Group. His expanded role now encompasses all of SIE, including the platform business group. Hulst will continue as head of PlayStation Studios.

In a statement, Nishino expressed his honor at leading SIE, emphasizing the company's commitment to technological innovation and creative experiences. He highlighted plans for expanding PlayStation's IP and community engagement. He also thanked Hulst for his continued leadership.
