Way of the Hunter: Wild America CBT Launches on Mobile

Way of the Hunter: Wild America is coming to mobile devices, bringing its expansive open-world hunting experience to smartphones and tablets. PC players are already familiar with its acclaimed gameplay. Originally released by Nine Rocks Games in August 2022 for PC and consoles, the mobile port is currently in beta testing.

Will the Mobile Version Be Complete?

While some graphical compromises are expected due to hardware limitations, the core gameplay and DLC will be included in the mobile release. THQ Nordic and HandyGames are preparing for a soon-to-be-announced launch. A closed beta test has been announced via a tweet, with a signup form available on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.

A Top-Tier Hunting Simulator?

Way of the Hunter challenges players with realistic hunting mechanics, requiring patience and strategic thinking. Animals behave naturally, reacting to the player's actions. The game features vast open-world environments inspired by the USA and Europe, offering a substantial 55-square-mile hunting ground.

Authentic hunting weapons, from rifles to bows, are available. Detailed tracking mechanics, including blood splatter analysis, enhance the realism. The in-game economy allows players to sell harvested meat to purchase better equipment, hunting licenses, and taxidermy trophies for their lodge. Both campaign and co-op modes are included, with full controller support planned for the mobile version.

The game's ecosystem is dynamic; overhunting in one area will cause animals to relocate.
