Portal Games Digital has just released the digital version of the acclaimed board game, Imperial Miners, now available on Android. This card game revolves around the theme of mine-building, joining the ranks of other Portal Games Digital titles on Android such as Neuroshima Convoy, Imperial Settlers: Roll & Write, and Tides of Time.
Designed by the renowned Tim Armstrong, who is also behind hits like Arcana Rising and Orbis, Imperial Miners brings a unique underground excavation experience. The game's vibrant illustrations are crafted by Hanna Kuik, celebrated for her work on Batman: Everybody Lies and Dune: House Secrets.
Ever Played Imperial Miners?
In Imperial Miners, you take on the role of a mine overseer, tasked with constructing the most efficient mine by strategically playing cards to build a thriving subterranean empire. Starting on the surface, your goal is to dig deeper, collecting valuable Crystals and Carts that contribute to your Victory Points.
The game features an innovative mechanic where each card you play not only activates its own effect but also triggers the effects of cards placed above it. With six distinct factions at your disposal, you can create powerful combinations to enhance your strategy.
Building your mine goes beyond simple card placement; you have 10 rounds to perfect your strategy, with each round introducing a new Event that can either aid or disrupt your plans. As you delve deeper, you advance on Progress boards, with three out of six boards chosen randomly each game to provide different strategic focuses. This variability ensures that no two games of Imperial Miners are the same, offering fresh challenges and opportunities with every play.
Will You Get It?
Imperial Miners is an engaging engine-building game that immerses you in the world of mine construction. The digital version faithfully captures the essence of the original board game by Portal Games, and is available for $4.99 on the Google Play Store. Don't miss out on this strategic gem.
