Invincible: The Most Important New Characters to Expect in Season 3

Author : Aaron Mar 17,2025

With Invincible Season 3 on the horizon, Prime Video unveiled a stellar voice cast addition, including Aaron Paul as Powerplex, John DiMaggio as The Elephant, and Simu Liu as Multi-Paul, Dupli-Kate's brother. However, the most intriguing additions remain shrouded in mystery: Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) and Doug Bradley (Hellraiser), whose roles are yet to be revealed.

Prime Video's secrecy likely aims to preserve major Season 3 plot twists. But speculation is rampant! Who could Banks and Bradley be playing? And what about Christian Convery's rapidly aging Oliver? His accelerated growth promises significant changes, especially with Invincible gaining a new sidekick. Let's delve into the most anticipated new characters.

Warning: Minor comic book spoilers ahead!

PlayJonathan Banks as Conquest? --------------------------

Jonathan Banks' casting is exciting, though his character remains undisclosed. His expertise in portraying hardened killers strongly suggests a villainous role. The prime candidate? Conquest.

Debuting in Invincible #61 (2009), Conquest is a Viltrumite, even stronger than many of his kind, bearing the marks of countless battles. He arrives after a devastating Earth conflict, presenting an ultimatum: Invincible conquers his homeworld for the Viltrumite Empire, or faces Conquest's wrath. This sets the stage for one of Mark Grayson's most brutal battles.

Season 2 hinted at this confrontation, leaving Mark burdened with his father's legacy. Season 3 will likely see him facing Conquest alone, a daunting task for an inexperienced hero. His survival, and Earth's fate, hang in the balance.

Doug Bradley's Invincible Role?

While Banks seems a perfect fit for Conquest, Bradley's role remains a mystery. Known for portraying Pinhead, his casting suggests another villain. Two strong contenders emerge:

First, Dinosaurus (Invincible #68, 2009). Following Conquest, Dinosaurus's motivations are vastly different; he seeks to heal the world from humanity's destructive impact. His target? Las Vegas, seen as a blight on the desert. Bradley's voice could add depth to this seemingly cartoonish villain, whose actions stem from a twisted sense of environmentalism.

Alternatively, there's Grand Regent Thragg (Invincible #11, 2004), the series' main antagonist. His absence from the animated series thus far makes his appearance highly anticipated.

Thragg, the Viltrumite Empire's ruler, is incredibly powerful, thousands of years old, and a veteran of the empire's civil war. Bradley's charisma and menace would perfectly embody this formidable villain. Even a brief appearance could hint at Mark's ultimate confrontation.

Christian Convery's Oliver Grayson: A New Era

Season 2 introduced Oliver, Mark's half-brother, a half-Thraxan, half-Viltrumite hybrid. His accelerated aging is a key plot point; a toddler in Season 2, he'll be a preteen in Season 3, necessitating Christian Convery's casting. Oliver already displays powers surpassing Mark's at a similar age.

Season 3 will see Oliver emulating his father and brother, adopting the codename Kid Omni-Man. This adds a new dynamic: Mark must guide his powerful, yet potentially vulnerable, brother, adding another layer of responsibility and fear for his loved ones' safety.
