Keanu Reeves Back as John Wick in Sequel Confirmed

John Wick 5 has officially been confirmed, with Lionsgate announcing that 60-year-old Keanu Reeves will reprise his iconic role.

The news was revealed at CinemaCon by Adam Fogelson, chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group. Pre-production is underway for John Wick: Chapter 5, featuring returning producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee from Thunder Road, franchise director and producer Chad Stahelski, and leading man Keanu Reeves. No release date has been set.

While another John Wick installment seems logical—given that John Wick: Chapter 4 grossed over $440 million globally, continuing the franchise’s streak of outdoing its predecessors—the decision raises questions due to the conclusive ending of the fourth film.
