Stop the presses! Hello Kitty Island Adventure has officially begun the Month of Meh, and everything is perfectly delightful. From now until May 31st, my beloved Gudetama takes center stage, offering a basket full of egg-citing collectibles to find before the month ends.
Nisetama-san is also making his own wonderfully bizarre appearance, so you'll want to keep a lookout for this elusive character to capture a photo before he slips away. Each picture you take earns you egg yolks, which can be exchanged for fun rewards at the remarkable Egg Shrine.
There's a whole collection of Gudetama-themed cosmetics to discover as well. Look for items like a Gudetama Bean Bag chair (I'd love one in real life), a bed, a sofa set, a coffee table book, and what appears to be Gudetama lounging on top of a ramen bowl. As someone with a mini Gudetama shrine at home, I find all of this absolutely fabulous.
This event aligns perfectly with the teaser from two weeks ago, proving once more that good things come to those who wait. Sunblink's statement that "all of us would prefer to stay in bed sometimes" has never felt more relatable.
