After Four Years of Launch, Alchemy Stars Shutting Down and Getting an Offline Version

Alchemy Stars is shutting down its online services on January 24th, 2025, but not before offering players a unique offline experience. Tencent and Level Infinite announced the transition last month, allowing players to preserve their progress and replay the game's story offline.

The Shutdown and Offline Transition:

Live service ends January 24th, 2025. A crucial maintenance period will occur on January 10th, from 4:00 to 9:00 GMT, deploying version 1.43.0. This update introduces a local data save feature—essential for preserving your game progress. A save button will be available on the main menu. Players can save their data multiple times before the January 24th, 4:00 GMT deadline; unsaved data will be lost permanently.

The offline version, available after January 24th, will be a static experience with no further updates or re-downloads. Deleting the app will result in permanent data loss. The offline version will allow players to revisit the story, upgrade units, and explore their saved progress.

Action Required:

Update your game after the January 10th maintenance. Save your game data before January 24th, 4:00 GMT. Download the game from the Google Play Store before its removal.

This offline transition offers a better alternative to a complete shutdown, allowing players to retain their achievements and continue enjoying the game's story. Stay tuned for our upcoming coverage of Play Together's first 2025 update, featuring exciting new Club features!
