This 3,145-piece set is designed for adult builders (18+), prioritizing display over play. The intricate build may incorporate advanced techniques challenging for younger builders. The sheer scale is difficult to grasp from images alone, but the inclusion of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler minifigures provides some context to its impressive three-foot length. The skull is remarkably similar to the currently available LEGO T-rex skull set (highly recommended!).

The articulated joints allow for dynamic posing; the head moves, the jaw opens, and the arms and tail are fully posable. Like many movie-themed LEGO sets, it features hidden Easter eggs to uncover during construction. A display stand and informational plaque detailing the T-rex's diet and habitat are also included.
