Limbus Company: Guide to Obtaining Lunacy

Author : Liam May 14,2025

Lunacy is the premium currency in *Limbus Company*, essential for unlocking new Identities and EGOs. As the game's primary gacha currency, amassing Lunacy is crucial for acquiring those coveted character variants. The process of earning Lunacy follows a pattern familiar to gacha game enthusiasts: a generous influx at the start, which gradually tapers off as your account progresses.

How to Get Lunacy in Limbus Company

For newcomers, diving into the main story is the most effective way to accumulate Lunacy. Each chapter completion grants approximately 390 Lunacy, with an additional 260 Lunacy for achieving an EX rating on enough missions. To secure an EX clear, you must meet all the EX objectives specific to that mission. The first-time EX clear bonus also nets you an extra 40 Lunacy, so strive to meet those objectives.

Additionally, first-time clears of Luxcavation stages offer Lunacy rewards, albeit these are one-time opportunities.

Once you've exhausted the available story quests, your Lunacy acquisition rate will decline. At this point, your primary methods to earn Lunacy include:

  • Completing and achieving EX clears on event stages.
  • Tackling Boosted Mirror Dungeons.
  • Uptying Identities to higher tiers.
  • Earning rewards from the battle pass.
  • Making direct purchases.

Engaging with Boosted Mirror Dungeons will become your most reliable source of Lunacy. You can participate in up to three dungeons weekly, earning 750 Lunacy in total. These dungeons reset every Wednesday, and they can be challenging, so equip your strongest Identities for the best results.

Events are another excellent way to boost your Lunacy reserves. These are time-limited, so make the most of them when they're available. Be sure to review all event rewards to ensure you don't miss out on any extras.

Uptying involves enhancing your Sinners' Identities and EGOs. As you progress to higher Uptie tiers, your characters grow stronger, and reaching Uptie Tier 3 rewards you with 40 Lunacy. Though this method has its limits, it's a valuable long-term strategy for Lunacy accumulation. Continuously level up your characters and gather Threads to eventually Uptie your entire roster.

Lastly, the game's battle passes offer substantial resources for improving your Sinners, including Lunacy. While there are free tracks available, accessing all rewards requires a real money investment.
