Marvel Rivals Sets February Release Date for The Thing and Human Torch

Author : Christian Feb 28,2025

Get ready, Marvel Rivals fans! The Fantastic Four will be complete on February 21, 2025, with the arrival of The Thing and Human Torch as playable characters. This exciting addition coincides with a Season 1.5 update, promising significant balance adjustments, as hinted at in a recent developer blog post.

Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman debuted last month, shaking up the game's meta with their unique abilities. Now, Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm are poised to do the same, though their specific moves remain under wraps for now. Let's hope NetEase offers a gameplay preview soon!

The Season 1.5 update also includes a rank reset for Ranked players. On February 21st, expect a four-division drop. Future seasons will see a six-division drop, while mid-season updates will maintain the four-division reset. NetEase plans to adjust this system as needed based on player feedback.

However, it's not all bad news! Gold-ranked players can anticipate new costume rewards, and new Crests of Honor will recognize top performers (Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All – the top 500).

Creative director Guangyun Chen previously pledged a new playable character every six weeks, suggesting a steady stream of Marvel heroes to come. While rumors point towards Blade as the next addition, the future of Marvel Rivals remains shrouded in mystery.

Check out our current Marvel Rivals Season 1 tier list to strategize while you wait for the mid-season update to reshuffle the meta. You can also explore the impact of the initial Season 1 patch and the community's reaction to the alleged bot issue.
