HoYoVerse's parent company, MiHoYo, is keeping busy! Their upcoming game, originally titled Astaweave Haven, has a fresh new name: Petit Planet. Even before a proper reveal, the game is undergoing significant changes.
If you're a fan of gacha games or RPGs, you may have already heard whispers of Astaweave Haven. While official details remain scarce, this new title appears to be a significant departure from HoYoVerse's usual open-world gacha adventures.
Instead of another gacha RPG, Petit Planet is shaping up to be a life simulation or management game, reminiscent of titles like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley.
The name change itself is quite appealing. "Petit Planet" has a charming, approachable sound, hinting at the game's likely management sim genre, a departure from MiHoYo's typical gacha RPGs.
Release Date?
The game is still under development, with no official release date announced. Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile in July. HoYoVerse registered the name "Petit Planet" on October 31st, and it's now awaiting approval in the U.S. and U.K.
Given MiHoYo's track record of rapid releases (remember Zenless Zone Zero following Honkai: Star Rail?), we can hope that once the name is approved, Petit Planet's gameplay will be unveiled soon.
