Mobile Legends Women's World Cup 2025: Esports Gearing Up

Author : Ava May 23,2025

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational (MWI) is set to make a thrilling return in July 2025, following an unforgettable conclusion at the 2024 Esports World Cup. Last year, Smart Omega Empress stunned the world by defeating the long-reigning champions, Team Vitality, in the Grand Final, ending their impressive three-year, 24-tournament winning streak.

Scheduled from July 15th to 19th, the MWI 2025 will feature 16 of the world's top all-women MLBB teams vying for supremacy and a chance to claim a historic prize pool. The tournament will begin with a double-elimination Group Stage, where all participating teams will compete. The top eight teams will then advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket, battling for a share of the $550,000 prize pool and a $10,000 MVP bonus for the tournament's standout player.

ytThis year’s qualifiers have expanded, attracting elite talent from various regions. Confirmed participants include DreamMax from the MWI 2025 LATAM Qualifiers, CFU Serendipity from Queen Legends Season 1, NAVI MY from the MYSG Qualifier, and Falcons Vega MENA from the Carry1st Africa Cup. Additional teams will secure their spots through ongoing regional events such as BOG Season 1, Athena League, and Lady MVP Season 6, with other qualifiers from China, North America, Mekong, Mongolia, and Türkiye soon to be finalized.

MWI 2025 is a key component of the broader Esports World Cup 2025, which brings together top clubs from multiple games in a unique cross-game competition format. As defending champions, Smart Omega Empress will aim to retain their title, but with formidable opponents from around the globe, their victory is far from assured.
