Celebrating Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary, Capcom and Bandai have teamed up to release the "Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition"! This special edition features designs based on the iconic Rathalos and Zinogre.
Monster Hunter and Digimon: A 20th Anniversary Collaboration
The Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition is a limited-release, pocket-sized V-Pet device. Each device, themed after either Rathalos or Zinogre, is priced at 7,700 Yen (approximately $53.2 USD), excluding shipping and other potential fees.
These collectible V-Pets boast a color LCD screen, UV printing, and a rechargeable battery. They also include features like "Cold Mode," which temporarily suspends monster growth, hunger, and strength, and a backup system to save your progress.
Pre-orders and Global Availability
Pre-orders for the Japanese release are currently open on Bandai's official Japanese online store. However, be aware that international shipping will incur additional costs.
At the time of writing, the devices are already out of stock, highlighting their high demand. The initial pre-order period closes today, November 1st, at 11:00 p.m. JST (7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET). Follow the Digimon Web Twitter (X) account for updates on potential future pre-orders.
The official release date is slated for April 2025. There is currently no announcement regarding a global release.
