Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta test following a 24-hour PlayStation Network outage that disrupted the previous weekend's gameplay.
The PSN service interruption, occurring from 3 PM PT on Friday, February 7th, lasted approximately 24 hours. Sony attributed the outage to an unspecified "operational issue," compensating PlayStation Plus subscribers with five extra days of service.
This outage significantly impacted online gaming, including the highly anticipated second beta for Monster Hunter Wilds, originally scheduled from Thursday, February 6th to Sunday, February 9th. As a result, Capcom has announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta session.
The revised beta dates are:
February 13th, 7 PM PT / February 14th, 3 AM GMT – February 17th, 6:59 PM PT / February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT
Capcom confirmed that participation bonuses, redeemable in the full game, remain available during this extended period.
Despite the previous network issues, beta participants had the opportunity to engage with Arkveld, a formidable new monster introduced in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
