Morikomori Life, a charming rural farm life simulation game, has officially launched on Android and iOS, but currently, it's exclusively available in Japan. The game, now published by Realfun Studio, was initially released in China by Level Infinite under Tencent Games. However, the Chinese version was discontinued about a year ago.
The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back
One of the standout features of Morikomori Life is its stunning visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of cozy living through anime-inspired, specifically Ghibli-style art. This isn't just any AI-generated art; the scenes truly resemble stills from a Studio Ghibli film, adding an authentic and heartwarming touch to the game.
In the game, you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl. The story begins when she receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother, prompting her to return to her childhood village, Komori. Here, you embark on a journey to rediscover the joys of a peaceful rural life. The 3D toon shading of Komori beautifully enhances the warmth and authenticity of Japan's countryside landscapes.

Morikomori Life Lets You Experience Slow-Paced Living
Morikomori Life focuses on the joys of a slow-paced, slice-of-life experience. Engage in various activities like farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing your own home. You'll gather resources by chopping wood, mining ore, and exploring for rare materials.
As you accumulate resources, you'll unlock new opportunities to upgrade your home and enrich your lifestyle. Customize Kaon's appearance to suit your taste, meet new friends in the village, and prepare meals with foraged ingredients. You can also assist villagers with various tasks.
The game offers character customization to reflect your personality, and its open-world setting allows you to freely explore and discover delightful surprises throughout Komori.
Currently, Morikomori Life is available on Android in Japan. If you're in the region, you can download it from the Google Play Store. There's no confirmation yet on whether a global release will follow.
