Pokémon GO's Halloween festivities are about to begin, and Niantic has unveiled the details for Part 1 of the event – with a Part 2 to follow! Get ready for thrilling features and spooky Pokémon encounters.

Kicking off Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, the event runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

Event Highlights:

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Its ability to switch between Full Belly Mode (Aura Wheel Electric-type attack) and Hangry Mode (Aura Wheel Dark-type attack) mid-battle, both boasting 100 power and an Attack boost, is a game-changer.

During the event, Morpeko encounters will be boosted in the GO Battle League's premium track, and will remain available from Rank 16 onwards, though more frequent on the premium track.

A Spooky Atmosphere:

The game will feature special Halloween decorations, and a remix of the classic Lavender Town theme will play nightly.

Dynamax Gastly will appear in one-star Max Battles alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event, running from October 22nd to November 3rd, focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Completing tasks rewards encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.

Download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and prepare for a spooky adventure!
