Netflix is launching an exciting companion game for its upcoming sci-fi adventure film The Electric State. Titled The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, this puzzle adventure offers retro-futuristic gameplay and releases March 18th - just four days after the film's March 14th debut.
More Than Just a Movie Adaptation
Developed by BUCK Games (Let's! Revolution!) in partnership with AGBO, Kid Cosmo serves as a prequel to the Russo Brothers' film starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt. Rather than retelling the movie's post-apocalyptic road trip through an alternate 1990s America, the game explores the childhood backstory of characters Chris and Michelle through an immersive game-within-a-game framework.
Puzzle Adventures With an '80s Twist
Set in 1985 Wichita, Kansas, the five-year narrative unfolds through puzzle sequences reminiscent of WarioWare but with distinct retro-futuristic flair. Players collect modules to repair Kid Cosmo's ship while solving brain-teasers that gradually reveal the game's mysterious world. Check out the first trailer below:
