Netflix Unveils First DLC for Rise of the Golden Idol: The Sins of New Wells

Netflix's Rise of the Golden Idol is set to enhance its thrilling narrative with the launch of its first DLC, The Sins of New Wells, which will be available on mobile starting March 4th. This expansion will also be accessible on PC and consoles. For mobile users, this DLC comes at no additional cost, courtesy of Netflix Gaming.

What’s in Store?

Prepare for an even deeper dive into mystery, crime, and the mystical elements of Lemurian magic. Set in the troubled city of New Wells, the story follows homicide detective Roy Samson as he's reassigned to the 9th District, a notorious area where justice is a rare commodity. Alongside his new partner, Cliff Savea, Roy uncovers a web of brutal crimes that hint at something far more sinister.

The Sins of New Wells introduces four gripping new cases: Following Orders, Trouble Unleashed, The Raid, and Unraveling. Each case is a complex puzzle of deceit and mystery, where players must interrogate mostly dishonest characters and solve intricate puzzles to piece together the truth. Be warned, a certain madness seems to have taken hold of New Wells.

Are You a Netflix Subscriber?

If you're a Netflix subscriber, you can dive into The Sins of New Wells on your mobile device starting at 9 AM PT or 5 PM GMT on launch day. Color Gray Games has promised this is just the start, with at least four more DLCs planned for 2025. Rise of the Golden Idol has already established itself as a premier modern detective game, and it's available for free on the Google Play Store to all Netflix members.
