Nintendo's Surprise Hit: Nintendo Music App Now Available for NSO Members!

Nintendo Music App

Nintendo has launched a new mobile app exclusively for Nintendo Switch Online (NSO) subscribers! Discover the vast musical library of Nintendo Music and its exciting features.

Nintendo Music: Available on iOS and Android

A NSO Member Exclusive

From alarm clocks to museums, Nintendo's creativity knows no bounds. Now, they offer a music app streaming and downloading soundtracks from their extensive game catalog – spanning classics like The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario to recent hits like Splatoon.

Launched recently, Nintendo Music is available for free on iOS and Android devices. Access requires an active NSO membership (standard or Expansion Pack). A free trial is available for those wanting to test the app before subscribing.

Nintendo Music App Interface

The app boasts a user-friendly interface. Search by game, track, or explore curated playlists by theme or character. It cleverly suggests music based on your Switch gaming history, and allows custom playlist creation and sharing. A spoiler-free mode ensures uninterrupted enjoyment for those actively playing the games.

For focused listening, a looping function allows continuous playback for 15, 30, or 60 minutes.

The music library is constantly expanding, with new songs and playlists regularly added.

Nintendo Music App Features

Nintendo Music enhances the value of the NSO subscription, which already includes access to classic NES, SNES, and Game Boy games. This move capitalizes on nostalgia, especially in the competitive landscape of gaming subscription services and music apps.

This app provides a legal and convenient way to access video game soundtracks. Currently, it's available in the U.S. and Canada, with hopes for global expansion soon.
