Four Classic SNES Games Join the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack

Action, Racing, Puzzles, and Dodgeball Await!

Prepare for a nostalgic gaming journey! Nintendo is adding four SNES gems from the early 90s to its expanding online library. This update offers a mix of beat 'em up action, intense racing, challenging puzzles, and a unique dodgeball experience.

First up is the iconic crossover beat 'em up, Battletoads/Double Dragon. Team up with the Battletoads and the Double Dragon brothers to defeat the Dark Queen and her Shadow Warriors. Choose from five playable characters, including Billy and Jimmy Lee, and the amphibian trio, Zitz, Pimple, and Rash.

Originally released on NES in June 1993 and ported to SNES in December of the same year, this marks a long-awaited re-release for Battletoads/Double Dragon.

Next, get ready for some dodgeball action in Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō! (known as Super Dodgeball in the West). Featuring Kunio-kun from the River City series, dominate the court against global rivals. Various indoor and outdoor arenas, each with unique challenges, await.

Originally launched for the Super Famicom in August 1993.

Puzzle enthusiasts will enjoy Cosmo Gang the Puzzle. This Tetris and Puyo Puyo-inspired game challenges you to strategically clear lines of containers and Cosmos. Three modes are available: 1P Mode (solo high score challenge), VS Mode (head-to-head competition), and 100 Stage Mode (increasing difficulty). Line up containers horizontally and use blue orbs to remove Cosmos.

Initially released in arcades in 1992, Cosmo Gang the Puzzle later appeared on Super Famicom, various Virtual Consoles, and more recently, on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
