Nintendo's charming alarm clock, Alarmo, is waking up to a wider release! Coming in March 2025, this unique device will be available at major retailers worldwide.
Nintendo's Alarmo: More Than Just an Alarm Clock
Initially launched with limited availability, Alarmo is finally expanding its reach. Expect to find it on the shelves of Target, Walmart, GameStop, and other participating retailers. Best of all, the previous requirement of a Nintendo Online membership is being removed, making it accessible to everyone. Alarmo will retail for $99.99 USD.
While many celebrate this news, the anticipation for the Nintendo Switch 2 continues to build. Nintendo remains tight-lipped about its next-generation console, leaving fans eagerly awaiting an official announcement.
Instant Hit: Alarmo Flies Off Shelves
The popularity of Alarmo was evident almost immediately. Following its October 9th, 2024 announcement, it quickly sold out in many locations. In Japan, sales were temporarily suspended on the My Nintendo Store and transitioned to a lottery system for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers due to overwhelming demand. Similar high demand led to a sell-out in New York City, although a lottery system wasn't implemented there.
Wake Up to Fun: Alarmo's Features
Alarmo isn't your average alarm clock. Featuring charming sound effects and visuals from beloved Nintendo franchises like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 3, it offers a unique wake-up experience. Choose from 42 scenes (with more to come via free updates!), watch characters come to life on the screen, and gently be roused from your slumber. If you need a little extra encouragement, a more "persuasive" visitor will appear and the alarm will intensify if you linger too long! The motion sensor allows you to silence the alarm without even touching the clock.
Beyond the fun wake-up calls, Alarmo also offers sleep tracking, hourly chimes, and sleep sounds themed to your chosen scene. For those sharing their bed with others or pets, the Button Mode is highly recommended.
Remember, while a Nintendo Online membership was initially required, this restriction will be lifted with the expanded release in March 2025. Get ready for a fun and engaging way to start your day!
