Path of Exile 2 Delirium: Fog Mechanics, Passives, Rewards Guide

Author : Nicholas Apr 26,2025

In Path of Exile 2, the Atlas map offers four main endgame events: Rituals, Breaches, Expeditions, and Delirium. Among these, the Delirium event, inspired by the original Path of Exile's Delirium League, brings a thrilling challenge to the endgame. This guide will walk you through starting Delirium events, what to expect, how to access the Simulacrum Delirium Pinnacle map, delve into the Delirium Passive Skill Tree, and explore the rewards you can gain from this dynamic encounter.

PoE 2 Delirium & Fog Mechanic, Explained

On the Atlas screen, map nodes that guarantee an endgame event are marked with specific icons. Nodes containing a Delirium Mirror are identifiable by a white and black icon resembling the mirror itself. To ensure Delirium events on your map nodes, you can use a Delirium Precursor Tablet in a Lost Tower.

Once inside a Delirium map, you'll find the Delirium Mirror near your spawn point. It appears as multicolored shattered glass, and as you approach, a ghostly energy will emanate from your character towards the mirror. Step into it to initiate the Delirium encounter, which spawns a large circle of Fog around you.

This Fog circle moves across the map, and the further you progress, the tougher the enemies become. Exiting the Fog circle will end the Delirium encounter and revert the map to its normal state.

Within the Delirium Fog, enemies are enhanced and may drop special Delirium rewards such as Distilled Emotions, essential for crafting, and Simulacrum Splinters, which are key to summoning the Pinnacle Boss. Encountering a Fractured Mirror during your journey will summon a wave of mobs and increase your loot chances.

During a Delirium encounter, you might randomly face two formidable bosses, Kosis and Omniphobia. These are full-fledged bosses with significant HP bars, not just rare enemies. While they aren't Pinnacle bosses, they can appear during the Pinnacle event for Delirium.

Delirium Pinnacle Event: Simulacrum

Each endgame event in PoE 2 provides items to summon a Pinnacle Boss. Within the Delirium Fog, enemies at high Waystone tiers may drop Simulacrum Splinters. Collecting 300 Simulacrum Splinters allows you to create a Simulacrum, which you can place in the Realmgate.

Activating the Simulacrum transports you to a 15-wave encounter that escalates in difficulty. The likelihood of encountering Delirium bosses increases with each wave. Successfully completing the Simulacrum event grants you 2 Delirium Passive points.

Delirium Passive Skill Tree

The Delirium Passive Skill Tree, located within the Atlas Passive Skill Tree, enhances the Delirium event by adding modifiers that can increase rewards or extend the event's mechanics. To access your Delirium passives, open the Atlas Map, click the top-left button to view the Atlas Passive Skill Tree, and look to the top right side for the distinctively white, mirror-shaped Delirium section.

The Delirium Passive Skill Tree features eight Notable nodes and eight nodes that heighten the difficulty of Simulacrum events. Earning 2 Delirium Passive Skill points per Simulacrum completion means you'll need to ramp up the challenge for each new Notable node you aim for.

Prioritize obtaining 'You Can't Just Wake Up From This One', 'Get Out Of My Head!', and 'They're Coming To Get You'. These nodes significantly boost your Delirium rewards without the drawbacks associated with other Notable nodes.

PoE 2 Delirium Event Rewards

In Delirium encounters, defeating enemies affected by the Delirium Fog can yield Distilled Emotions. Bosses vanquished during either the Delirium encounter or the Simulacrum event typically drop these as well.

Distilled Emotions are unique currencies that can be combined to Anoint your Amulet with innate Notable Passive Skills, eliminating the need to spend Passive Skill Points to reach desired nodes. To Anoint, hover over a Notable Passive node to see the required combination of Distilled Emotions. Right-click a Distilled Emotion to open the Instilling window, place your Amulet in the top slot, and the correct combination of Distilled Emotions in the bottom slots to create the desired Anoint.

You can also use Distilled Emotions to add guaranteed Modifiers to Waystones, which increases the Delirious debuff percentage for players, resulting in more and stronger mobs in the Delirium Fog.

Enemies may drop Simulacrum Splinters, which, when combined, form a Simulacrum. Slotting this into the Realmgate in the Atlas Map initiates a special 15-wave-long Simulacrum event. Completing this event rewards you with both Delirium Passive points and a unique piece of equipment exclusive to the Delirium event.
