PlayStation Plus's Best Ranked Horror Games

PlayStation Plus

This guide explores the revamped PlayStation Plus service and its diverse game library, focusing on horror titles available across its three tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. While online play requires at least the Essential tier, horror enthusiasts will find a richer selection in the Extra and Premium tiers, boasting hundreds of PS5, PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, and PSP games. Sony's service offers a broad range of genres, ensuring a variety of options for most players.

The Extra tier grants access to a regularly updated library of PS5 and PS4 games, while Premium adds classic titles from older PlayStation consoles. While the December 2024 update to the Extra and Premium tiers didn't include new horror games, a selection remains. Note that Resident Evil 2 will be removed from the service on January 21, 2025, though its relatively short campaign allows for completion before then. Resident Evil 3 remains available.

This updated guide (January 5, 2025) includes a section highlighting alternative PS Plus games that might appeal to horror fans.
