Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place in three distinct cities across different dates in June:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th

A World of Pokémon Awaits
Pokémon GO Fest is an annual global event offering exclusive in-game items, gameplay features, and bonuses. In-person events in select cities provide unique experiences, including:
- Rare Pokémon encounters not available through standard gameplay (like the 2024 event's Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow).
- Increased Shiny Pokémon encounter rates.
- Exclusive merchandise and themed items.
- Community hubs and team lounges.

January Events: Fashion Week and Shadow Raid Day
Beyond Pokémon GO Fest, Niantic announced two exciting January events:
Fashion Week: Taken Over:
- Dates: January 15th, 2025, 12:00 pm – January 19th, 2025, 8:00 pm (local time)
- Features: Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Shroodle and Grafaiai debut in 12 km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon appearances (Snivy, Tepig, etc.). Chance to encounter a fashionably dressed Croagunk.
Shadow Raid Day (Ho-Oh):
- Date: January 19th, 2025, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm (local time)
- Features: Five-Star Shadow Raids featuring Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, 50% more XP from Raids, and a boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rate. A chance to teach Ho-Oh its signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
