The Pokémon Company has announced a special collection of merchandise commemorating the 25th anniversary of Pokémon Gold and Silver. This exciting range includes items for the home, apparel, and more, all themed around the iconic games. The merchandise will be available at Pokémon Centers in Japan starting November 23rd, 2024. International availability is yet to be announced.
Pre-orders begin November 21st, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. JST via Pokémon Center Online and Amazon Japan.
Prices range from 495 Yen (approximately $4 USD) to 22,000 Yen (approximately $143 USD). Highlights include stylish Sukajan jackets (22,000 Yen) featuring Ho-Oh and Lugia designs, practical Day Bags (12,100 Yen), attractive 2-Piece Set Plates (1,650 Yen), plus a wide variety of stationery and hand towels.
Originally released in 1999 for the Game Boy Color, Pokémon Gold and Silver were critically acclaimed for their innovative features. These groundbreaking games introduced an in-game clock that affected Pokémon appearances and events, along with 100 new Pokémon (Gen 2), including fan favorites like Pichu, Cleffa, Hoothoot, Chikorita, Umbreon, Ho-Oh, and Lugia. The games' legacy continued with the 2009 Nintendo DS remakes, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
