Taking Place in Taiwan and Los Angeles
Pokémon GO enthusiasts are in for a treat with the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Unova, scheduled from February 21-23, 2025. This event, inspired by the rich lore of Pokémon Black Version, Pokémon White Version, Pokémon Black Version 2, and Pokémon White Version 2, will be hosted at two vibrant locations: Los Angeles’ Rose Bowl Stadium and New Taipei’s Metropolitan Park.
Participants will explore themed habitats such as Winter Caverns, Spring Soiree, Summer Vacations, and Autumn Masquerade, each teeming with Pokémon native to the Unova region. Trainers will have the unique opportunity to catch different variants of shiny Deerling, influenced by the habitat and time of day.
Ticket holders in both New Taipei City and Los Angeles can encounter Shiny Meloetta through Masterwork Research. They'll also have the chance to hatch Shiny variants of Sigilyph, Bouffalant, and more. Field Research might even reward you with a shiny Pikachu sporting unique headwear.
Legendary Pokémon Reshiram and Zekrom, icons of the Black & White series, will appear as Five-Star Raid bosses. Three-Star Raids will feature Druddigon, while Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott will be available in One-Star Raids, all with heightened chances of shiny encounters.
Tickets for this event are currently available at a discounted rate for a limited time. In Los Angeles, California, tickets are priced at $25 USD, while in New Taipei, they cost $630 NT. Enhance your experience with various ticket add-ons, which offer unique bonuses like an additional 5,000 XP after completing a raid.
The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., according to local time zones (US - PST and Taiwan - GMT+8). Attendees can also enjoy various booths and team lounges, offering exclusive merchandise and a space to unwind after a day of capturing, battling, and hatching Pokémon.
For those unable to attend the in-person event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova - Global will be available on March 1-2, allowing all trainers to explore the Unova region for free.
Pokémon GO City Safari Launching This December 2024
Another exciting event, Pokémon GO City Safari, is set to launch on December 7-8, 2024. This citywide adventure will take place in Hong Kong and São Paulo, Brazil, running from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time. Join Professor Willow and Eevee to unravel the mystery behind Pokémon.
At the start of the event, trainers will receive a special Eevee wearing an explorer hat. Evolving this Eevee into forms like Sylveon or Jolteon requires 25 Eevee candy, and the evolutions will keep the explorer hat. Participate in the Eevee Explorers Expedition to earn an additional Eevee with the explorer hat, for a total of two.
During the event, special Pokémon like Galarian Slowpoke, Unown P, Clamperl, and more will appear in the wild. Some Pokémon, such as Oricorio (Pom-Pom Style and Sensu Style), Swablu, and Skiddo, can only be found through hatching eggs. Unique Pokémon encounters will vary by event location.
To aid in exploring Hong Kong or São Paulo, maps will be provided, and participants will receive a Pikachu or Eevee visor to shield them from the sun, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets for Pokémon GO City Safari are priced at R$45 in São Paulo and $10 USD in Hong Kong. Trainers can also purchase ticket add-ons for additional items and an increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon.
