Final Strike: GO Battle Week Marks Season Finale
The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO reaches its climax with Final Strike: GO Battle Week, launching May 21st, 2025. This concluding event, running through May 27th, brings Kubfu's journey to completion.
Evolving Kubfu into Legendary Urshifu
After weeks of training, players can finally evolve their Kubfu into the powerful Urshifu - with two distinct forms available. The evolution path depends completely on your battle strategy:
- Single Strike Style: Keep Kubfu as your buddy while defeating 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles
- Rapid Strike Style: Achieve the same requirement against 30 Water-types during Final Strike week
A Special Research continues the seasonal narrative until June 3rd, rewarding Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters including a specially-themed Charcadet.
Gigantamax Machamp Makes Grand Entrance
May 25th features the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day from 2:00-5:00 PM local time. This special event offers:
- 75% reduced travel distance for Max Particles
- Increased Max Particle storage cap (1,600)
- Guaranteed Gigantamax Battles at all Power Spots
- 8× Max Particle rewards from battles
- Two additional Special Trades
Max Mushrooms provide temporary combat advantages during the event - doubling your Dynamax/Gigantamax Pokémon's damage output. Multiple mushrooms extend the duration while maintaining the same power boost.
