Pokémon Go Tests Go Pass in Select Regions

Author : Sarah May 16,2025

Get ready for a fresh way to snag rewards in Pokémon Go with the newly introduced Go Pass, currently being tested in select regions. Following the triumph of the Tour Pass during the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova, this exciting new feature is set to expand globally soon. If you're lucky enough to be in one of the eligible areas, dive into the Go Pass: April from April 1st to May 6th and secure a plethora of fantastic rewards.

Battle passes are all the rage nowadays, and now Pokémon Go is joining the party. During the event period, accumulate Go Points to level up your pass and unlock enticing rewards such as encounters with Xerneas, Stardust, XP, and Poké Balls.

The Go Pass comes free of charge, but for those craving more substantial bonuses, the Go Pass Deluxe is your ticket to premium rewards. This includes a Lucky Trinket, Candy XL, and a variety of useful items like Incubators and Lure Modules. You can upgrade to Deluxe anytime and retroactively claim rewards from ranks you've already unlocked.

As you advance, you'll hit Major Milestones that unlock additional perks. At Tier one, the duration of your Daily Adventure Incense is extended. Tier two enhances XP and Stardust from Research Breakthroughs, while Tier three boosts Stardust and XP from hatching Eggs. And to top it off, the final Deluxe reward is another Lucky Trinket, ensuring you can guarantee a Lucky Friend.

Since the Go Pass is still in its testing phase, its rewards and structure might differ across regions. Some areas might offer unique encounters, tweaked item rewards, or even PokéCoins at specific ranks. These variations will assist Niantic in refining the system ahead of its broader release.

If you find yourself in an eligible region, seize the opportunity to test out the Go Pass before its global rollout. Be sure to claim all your earned rewards by May 8th, and remember to use your Lucky Trinket before it expires on May 11th!
